Mitadaf is an innovative dissolved air flotation system. Its exceptional solid/liquid separation and/or sludge thickening efficiency is the result of the combined systemof uniform hydrodynamics and filtration with a bed of micro air-bubbles: an equipment of new concept developed by MITA. The heart of the mitadaf system is the multifunctional central column, by means of which the raw sewage is introduced into the tank, the clarified effluent water is recovered and the sludge exits. The raw influent water, suitably saturated with air, is introduced into the flotation tank via a series of holes located in the lower part of the central column. The entering mix, propelled by the micro-bubbles of air, immediately reaches the surface, homogeneously distributed across the whole flotation area (uniform hydrodynamic system).

A fluidised bed incinerator is the technology of choice for the combustion of many sludge streams or solid waste streams with a high moisture content. In a fluidised bed reactor, an inert material, typically calibrated quartz sand, is fluidised by blowing air through the bed. The sand bed expands and provides an ideal medium for the mixing of waste with combustion air. Because the fluidised bed is maintained at an elevated temperature, typically between 650°C and 800°C the water evaporates and volatile organic compounds mix with combustion air whilst escaping from the fluidised bed. Data sheet Product The “Maxi-Carbo” activated carbon filter is designed for treating effluents with high levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). The filtering unit is characterised by a completely welded steel structure equipped with one or two vertical beds of active carbon. Carbon is loaded from above through a door, while the depleted carbon is unloaded from below through a slide gate. The particular geometrical shape permits easier and faster operation of charging and discharging of the active carbon. Operating principle The “Maxi-Carbo” activated carbon filter is suited with one or two vertical carbon beds. The air flow mixed to VOC passes through the vertical carbon bed located inside the “diamond-shape” structure. Thanks to the optimized contact time the vertical carbon bed absorbs the VOC released from the air flow. The filter is not equipped with pre-filtration and therefore any possible solid particles in the air must be treated beforehand with other filtration...
