The EUROMIX® vertical shaft floating agitator is designed for all mixing applications and operates at 1000 rpm. The liquid rises to the surface of the tank and discharged at the base. The EUROMIX® flow-guide pipe allows the fluid to be directed to the base of the tank and can be used for deep tanks. The specific flow created ensures the mixing of the liquid. The general basis of the mixing being vertical, the water is directed at very high-speed causing a laminar flow by the agitation unit at the tank base. The EUROMIX® thus prevent the formation of dead zones in the tanks. It prevents sedimentation and rapid settling in holding and mixing tanks.

In the treatment of drinking water, whether done conventionally or via seawater desalination, agitators are used for rapid mix, precipitation and flocculation processes. Precipitation and flocculation processes require low shear, slow-running agitators. For pH adjustments and rapid mixing faster running agitators that can blend reactor content in a flash are required. Wastewater treatment also requires a multitude of application options for agitators. In anaerobic and anoxic tanks for nitrogen removal, slow-running agitators are used to suspend and homogenize activated sludge flocs. In aeration tanks, mixer/aerators can be used for efficient oxygenation and mixing. Where waste water is purified, sludge is generated. This sludge is generally conditioned using polymers, dewatered, and then digested in anaerobic sludge digesters to generate biogas. Special agitators are required for both polymer introduction and for digested sludge mixing.

SURFECO® PLUS is a super-spreading surfactant based on a trisiloxane ethoxylate, a silicone polyether copolymer with 550 molecular weight. SURFECO® PLUS has super-spreading properties in aqueous solutions while remaining stable in formulations from pH 5 - 8. SURFECO® PLUS can reduce surface tension in aqueous solutions at use levels up to 1.0 % by weight. Typical recommended starting level is 0.1 %. Radar (FMCW) level transmitter for agitated and corrosive liquids The OPTIWAVE 7400 is a 2-wire 24 GHz radar (FMCW) level transmitter for liquids in harsh environments like tanks with agitators containing corrosive media. It is particularly designed for continuous, non-contact level measurement under extreme conditions prevalent in the chemical, petrochemical or oil and gas industry. The device features Metallic Horn antennas as well as PTFE and PEEK Drop antennas for measuring distances up to 100 m / 328 ft. The Drop antennas are perfectly suited for aggressive liquids in tanks. In applications with toxic and dangerous products, this radar device can be equipped with a Metaglas® second sealing barrier.

Homogenizing large tank volumes, mixing-in additives during the production of lubrication oil and suspending solids in a liquid phase are typical applications for the pneumatic pulse-mixing technology of PULSAIR. The process, patented worldwide, is based on an injection of an adjustable pressure pulse underneath an accumulator plate, installed on the bottom of the mixing tank. The injected pressurized air forms a big air bubble, soaring within the tank and displacing the surrounding liquid. Meanwhile negative pressure is generated underneath the bubble, sucking the surrounding material. This produces in the tank a vertical flow directed upwards, adjustable according to the requirements by varying the pulse length and the pulse duration. Contrary to mechanical agitators the height of the tank is very marginal. No moving parts or shaft bearings are in the tank.
