CAVAS International supplies IQF – individually quick frozen – fruits and vegetables as food ingredients. Our IQF processing yields simply frozen and naturally delicious whole fruits and vegetables, as well as smaller pieces for your ingredient needs. Frozen vegetables are not only cheaper and easier to prepare but also have a longer shelf life and can be purchased year-round. Because vegetables are usually frozen immediately after harvesting, they generally retain many of their nutrients. Belgium, Poland, Serbia, Netherlands Packaging 500g, 1kg, 2,5kg, 10kg, 20kg Our freshly picked peas are frozen within just 2 1/2 hours of being picked fresh from the field. Freezing the peas so soon after being picked ensures that we retain all of the natural vitamins and minerals. This means that frozen peas can be picked at their peak ripeness, at a time when they have their highest nutritional value. Freezing the peas means they retain more vitamin C than fresh or ambient peas when they make their way onto your plate. However, by freezing the freshly picked peas, we are able to provide frozen green peas throughout the year. Whether you want a refreshing pea and watercress soup in the summer or a warming pea and ham soup in the winter, frozen peas don't go out of season. They can be easily stores in the freezer and called upon when needed. Unlike their fresh counterparts, frozen peas won't be wasted and thrown away.

The demand for IQF spinach and herbs has been increasing steadily over the past few years. The convenience of using the exact amount needed of ready-to-use, chopped leafy products which don’t need to be thawed, is appealing to both end-consumers as to restaurants, catering companies and ready-meals producers. Frozen spinach goes through a flash-freezing process that preserves it within hours after it leaves the soil, so it retains more of its vitamin C content than fresh spinach.

Known for their delicious fresh flavour, and crisp crunchy texture IQF Peppers can be used in a variety of applications to create delicious tasting products. They offer all the fresh flavour, bright colour, nutrients and vitamins of fresh peppers but with the convenience and longer shelf life of a frozen product. Different coloured peppers all come from the same plant. The colour depends on the time the pepper stays on the vine. Green peppers come first, they then turn into yellow, then orange and eventually red. Sourced from our expert growers in Serbia, Macedonia, Poland, Spain and Turkey our IQF Peppers are of the highest quality and grown to EU industry standards.

Laminated films with barrier are specially designed for use on high-speed horizontal or vertical flow-pack machines. Almost all of these films are delivered with AF treatment and can be printed flexo or roto sandwich type. They are used for packing several kinds of products: Emmental cheese, raw-dried meat products, coffee, pet food, bakery products, generally for bulk products or low humidity products. NON-BARRIER OR MEDIUM BARRIER FILMS They are used for the packaging of products which do not require special storage conditions, or which maintain their shelf life without the need for special properties of the packaging. They can be configured in a very wide range of structures depending on their application and the particularities of each packaged product and are used for fresh or frozen vegetables, bakery products, chips, raw-dried salamis, frozen fish, etc. They can be delivered with the AF option and can be customized by roto or flexo printing.
