Elastomer buffers are characterised by high load capacity, long service life and high economy due to being entirely maintenance-free. They also provide outstanding protection for persons and machines since the buffers do not rupture when overloaded. They are used to insulate and dampen air and structure-borne sound and offer progressive buffering characteristics with sustained excellent performance. They are also resistant to grease and oils and, in terms of performance and quality fulfil the requirements of the standard ISO 10069-1.

Spider polyurethane hardness Shore 98A. Hub aluminium. Conical ring carbon steel. Note This coupling series is particularly suitable for use in high speed main spindle or drill spindle drives. Before the plugin assembly, both clamping ring hubs must be fastened to the shafts with the correct tightening torque. Lightly oil the spider to ease assembly. Assembly The shaft to hub bore fit should be a transition fit. The play should be max. 0.02 mm. i.e shaft Ø 25 k6 bore Ø 25 G6. Bores smaller than D1/D2 min. are possible, however an optimal transfer of the nominal torque is no longer guaranteed. On request Hub bores D1 and D2 with separate tolerance class or range. Fire resistant, Low Smoke Toxicity EPDM from J-Flex is supplied, tested & fully certified to EN45545-2, and has been approved to the former National Standards BS 6853, DIN5510 & NF F 16-101 + other Major Standards including LUL S1085 Specifications + BS 476 + UL94 V(0) & NFPA 130 ( U.S. National Fire Protection Association). In addition it has been independently tested & certified to EN 13501-1 Fire Classification of construction products & building elements. EPDM, Silicone, Natural Rubber, Neoprene Sponge & Vamac® Ethylene Acrylic Elastomer materials from J-Flex have been independently tested & certified against some or all of the above norms. These materials all have excellent environmental resistance withstanding ozone, u.v., rain & frost – meaning outdoor applications such as lighting systems and enclosures are kept water and dust-tight. Our materials are also resistant to corrosion, moisture, salt & light fuels.
