This fully automatic labeling line is suitable for reliably applying self-adhesive labels to various products such as envelopes, catalogues, magazines, etc. The machine is equipped with a completely overhauled rotary feeder from CMC, which we installed as a self-sufficient unit with a new vacuum pump and motor in a stable frame made of aluminum profiles. We then paired them up with a new vacuum table with electric height adjustment and an "Alpha Compact" labeler from BLUHM/WEBER mounted on it. Together with a new machine control system these modules can be assembled into a fully automatic labeling line with which our customer can process products up to 43 cm in length at high speeds (up to 70 m/min). The glue dosing system is a simple and reliable system that allows the application of a certain amount of glue on boxes, cartons, trays, etc. The expulsion of the glue is controlled by an electro-pneumatic valve, controlled by the operator with a pedal or button. The amount of glue to be dispensed can be easily adjusted using a timer. Thanks to the valve that discharges the excess air, it is also possible to apply just one glue point without risking leaking from the gluing machine. The gluing machines are supplied with about 3 meters of compressed air hose. The length of the tube can be changed during the order. Merbenit IA45 is a solventfree adhesive for application in very thin layers on one or both sides and which builds up strength quickly. It provides excellent adhesion, even on difficult plastics. The adhesive allows for easy processing and offers minimal shrinkage. This product helps to avoid the risk of deformation of thin assembly parts due to heat development during the curing process. The use of adhesion promoters is often not necessary when Merbenit IA45 is used.
