The primary application of granular activated carbon mesh is evident in the process of cyanidation. Cyanidation is the metallurgical process for mining gold from ore that contains cyanide. The use of physical activation involves hot gases either through carbonization or oxidation. Granular activated Carbon has an appearance just like the name indicates with the higher surface area for adsorption. Activated Carbon is produced from sources enriched in Carbon. Therefore, the surface structure of activated Carbon is very porous, and it also has a vast surface area. The large surface area with porous structure and attraction forces help in capturing material components that could be recovered later.

BLUE Activated carbon Filters are used in Air Handling Units, Ventilating Systems, Chemical processes as deodorisation and purification of the air. Manufactured and supplied with 8 or 16 groups. Depending on customer request, all combinations ara available. Cartridge diameter is 140 and 160 mm. Cartridge length can be 250, 400, 500, 600 mm on request. Cartridge can be delivered as filled or empty. Widely used and favoured for drinking water treatment and beverage production where chloramines are not present; the SCB is formulated from low ash content, microporous coconut carbon that targets VOCs and THMs. Acid wash during the production process and low fine content give excellent rinse-up times as well as regulating pH and taste. The CleanPore Carbon also gives improved flowrate and lower pressure drop than the PCB, reducing the size of the housing required, making it a firm favourite for drinking water, pre-RO and applications where end product consumption is a consideration.
