The special service MIMPro (Metal Injection Moulding Processing) includes debinding, sintering, and heat treatment of injected MIM parts. Feedstock systems made from various binders and alloys are processed.
Powder metallurgy is a near-net-shape manufacturing process, making it particularly suitable for components with complex geometries, although the complexity is limited by undercuts.
The fundamental process steps include the production of the powder, the pressing of the part to be sintered into a green compact from the metal powder, and the sintering process itself. Key advantages of the process are the virtually post-processing-free manufacturing, which results in very low raw material losses, as well as the ability to alloy immiscible substances.
The common sintered materials are classified into:
- Hard metals or hard materials
- Sintered iron and sintered steel
- Sintered aluminum, aluminum-silicon powder
- Sintered bronzes
- Other sintered materials
With extensive experience and a commitment to maximum customer satisfaction, Frey has been operating the machining of high-alloy stainless steels and special materials across a wide range for many years.
Designed to meet filtration needs at high temperatures, high pressures, or corrosive operating applications.
The FilterONE cartridges are constructed with a filter medium made of sintered microfibers in stainless steel 316L, featuring 2 layers of internal support, 1 layer of external protection, and welded ends.
The special construction technology gives the FilterONE high mechanical strength even at elevated temperatures, high chemical compatibility, and a complete absence of particle leaching and extractables.
The FilterONE cartridge is regenerable with solvents and ultrasonics.
For traceability and easy identification, each filter is marked with an identifying code.

Sintered bronze is characterized by good emergency running properties, greater damping of natural vibrations, a higher p·v value, and good corrosion resistance. Bearings made of sintered bronze therefore offer greater operational reliability and ensure quieter operation.
Our filter grade powders are available in a wide range of particle size distributions and are uniquely suited to produce sintered porous metal filters for demanding applications. Typical materials include a wide number of commercial alloys specifically tailored for filter applications.
The alloys available include but are not limited to high performance Stainless Steels, Hastelloys®, Monels®, Inconels® and Nickel. We produce these alloys specifically for sintered filters in tightly controlled size distributions within the 10-250µm range for liquid and gas filtration. We routinely produce more than 25 different sizes of filter product and are happy to take on the challenge of exacting, custom specifications.
Filter Powder Expertise
We manufacture filter grade powders that are specially atomized to give the highly irregular shape required for precise filtration. Our plant has been producing water atomized powders for sintered
The innovative technology of metal laser sintering has removed all limits from construction.
Metal laser sintering allows for the cost-effective and rapid production of highly complex functional metal components. Even the most intricate structures, such as undercuts, ribs, functional elements, and similar features, can be easily realized with metal laser sintering. We produce for you the most demanding metallic components that were previously only achievable with enormous costs and significant effort.
The High-Gloss Nickel Process for Various Applications
The high-gloss nickel process is a procedure with a very wide range of applications. Even at low layer thicknesses, it achieves highly leveling and high-gloss coatings, which are particularly ideal for demanding decorative nickel plating on a variety of base materials such as steel, copper, brass, and bronze. The excellent gloss depth distribution, good ductility, and wear resistance enable a wide array of applications for nickel-plated components, for example, in mechanical engineering, plant construction, electrical engineering, and the furniture and fittings industry.
The dimensional ranges start from 1.5mm in diameter up to a total length of 200mm.
