Ball bearing springs have a smaller flank (ratio De/Di) than standard disc springs due to the specified installation space of ball bearings.
Some ball bearing applications require a "softer compression behavior" at the beginning of the compression. This means it must generate a significant spring travel with minimal force increase. For this specific case, SCHNORR® has developed slotted ball bearing springs. Due to the geometry with the slots, these springs can precisely meet the requirement.
Due to the significantly different dimensional ratios from disc springs according to DIN EN 16983, the dimensional and force tolerances of the disc springs designed for ball bearings do not align with the tolerance specifications of DIN EN 16983.
Disc springs expertly support many dynamic processes in a safe and efficient manner – even under often extreme force and stress conditions.
