The sustainable alternatives also possess properties such as low density, excellent aging and weather resistance, good sound insulation and thermal insulation, as well as very good resistance to common acids, alkalis, and other chemicals. Sustainable PE foams are primarily used in the areas of packaging and transport protection, as well as in industry and technology for sealing, sound, and thermal insulation. In automotive construction, for example, they can be found in interior doors, the engine, and the headliner.
