For 9 centuries, the estate has rarely changed ownership, illustrating a tradition of maintaining land heritage. The vineyard has gradually been replanted over the years. The winery has been completely renovated and adapted to modern winemaking techniques. Château Picon is located in the municipality of Eynesse, near the bastide of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande. The majestic property of 81 hectares is nestled on a plateau overlooking the Dordogne valley. It benefits from an exceptional terroir, consisting of a gravelly surface soil and clay-limestone subsoil. The vines, with an average age of 35 years, are primarily south-facing. They are arranged in a single block around the château and the winery.
