The OPTISONIC 8300 is a 2-path ultrasonic flow meter designed for measuring superheated steam and high-temperature gases up to +620°C / +1148°F and a maximum pressure of 200 bar / 2900 psi. It ensures excellent performance across a wide flow range. Therefore, the device is the ideal solution for boiler and power plant monitoring or steam billing. With additional connected temperature and pressure sensors, the integrated flow converter can also calculate the mass flow of steam or the enthalpy. The OPTISONIC 8300 has been designed to avoid costly downtime of steam pipelines. The device is capable of maintaining measurement accuracy without maintenance or recalibration for up to 20 years. The flow meter does not need to be removed, which means that neither valves nor bypass lines are required. The OPTISONIC 8300 is equipped with digital communication options.
