Axial deep groove ball bearings are manufactured in both single-sided and double-sided designs. Both designs can accommodate high axial loads but must not be subjected to radial loads. The ball ring, shaft, and housing discs can be assembled separately, which means that the axial deep groove ball bearings are not self-retaining.
