Shea Butter "butyrospermum parkii" - Vegetable Oil

Shea vegetable oil is a natural ingredient that has been used for centuries in the West African region, particularly in Ghana and Mali. The shea tree belongs to the Sapotaceae family and can reach a height of up to 15 meters. The process of extracting shea oil has been passed down from generation to generation by African women, who are responsible for collecting and processing the nuts for later use. Shea oil is obtained from the nuts of the shea tree. The nuts are collected, sun-dried, and then roasted over an open fire. After roasting, the shells are removed, and the seeds are crushed to obtain a paste. This paste is kneaded with hot water until the oil separates from the rest of the material. Shea oil is rich in essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins A, E, and F. Additionally, it has emollient properties.
