As a student, Diederick van Merkestijn started coating nuts in 1999. The cosy street carts are long gone when he decided to bundle his passion, experience and expertise into a new company, called Virgin Nuts. Since then - we're talking 2008 - many thousands of tons of delicious coated nuts have left the Virgin Nuts factory, supplying more and more customers with a superior natural and fresh taste sensation. Besides honey, we have other great flavours, like cinnamon, maple, caramel, vanilla and gingerbread. In 2007 Scolaquip increased its range of available products by becoming educational distributors for Crayola. 2009 saw the Berol brand added to this expanding portfolio. During 2010 a re-location to new premises improved the manufacturing capability and stock holding potential.
