I’m an award-winning wedding photographer based in Birmingham, UK, who also covers weddings abroad. I specialise in documentary style of photography which is naturally, and relaxed style of coverage. The emphasis is placed on capturing un-posed moments that tell the real story of a wedding day. This allows everyone to relax on their wedding day, without worrying about hanging around for too many posed, group photos. I like the day to flow smoothly and largely uninterrupted. That way the I can watch, observe and capture those natural unguarded storytelling images that stand the test of time. That's not to say I don't take any group photos. But my customers like them to be kept to a minimum, so they can get on with enjoying the company of their family and friends. I've found that 15/20 mins is more than enough for the groups. Then I can borrow the happy couple for only another 10-15 mins, to take their photos. These too are done in a relaxed and largely un-posed fashion.
