Hot brass stamping is more than just a process; it's an art form that requires precision, skill, and a keen understanding of materials. At Birmingham Stamping Ltd., experienced artisans and engineers collaborate seamlessly to transform raw brass, copper and aluminium into finely detailed components. Our process which involves employing extreme heat during the stamping process, the brass becomes malleable, allowing for intricate designs and flawless finishes that stand the test of time. We use a closed die stamping system which involves using a set of dies (upper and lower) to shape metal parts. The dies are designed with cavities that match the desired part geometry. When the dies close, they compress the metal between them, creating the required shape. The applications of hot brass stamping are vast, catering to sectors such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, and decorative hardware. FIRE FORMED

Fire Formed was set up in 2020, at the height of the pandemic. Inspired by my time studying a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Coventry University, I set up a pottery studio with the support of my friend Alexia. Since then, I have dedicated my time to developing my Creative Practice. I am continuing to live my dream of running a small scale, local pottery in Birmingham. All my work is handmade, unique and crafted with love.
