We have a reputation for high quality oak work and the building you receive will be beautiful and stand the test of time. We build our garages from oak because it is a very strong and reliable timber. Historically used over many centuries and well suited to the Gloucester area, this beautiful timber takes pride of place throughout our timber framed designs. Using traditional oak framing techniques, such as mortice and tenon joints, creates a classic and extremely well-built building. We are committed to traditional crafting techniques and as such are member of The Guild of Master Craftsmen, ensuring that our high standards are continually met. The reason we only use oak in our timber framed buildings is that it is strong, durable and suits the surrounding countryside where our barns are so often built. We offer a large range of designs which combine traditional carpentry techniques with modern day demands and can also provide a bespoke service where we create something especially for you - to suit all the requirements for your new oak outbuilding.

We support a number of programmes where we support people back to work from a number of challenging circumstances such as mental health issues, disabilities and incarceration. We work with disabled crochet and knitting clubs allowing them to enjoy working again, using their hobby as a way of earning income. We also support get back to work schemes where we allow people that have been incarcerated, the opportunity to learn a skill which, upon release, we are able to offer them work, allowing them to come off the benefit systems and paying tax, being proud of their new careers. This ensures that all of our artisan team hand craft each pair from their heart and they give extra attention to detail which we pride ourselves on at Louie.

Here at New England Design we have been producing tailor made sofas in Littleborough, near Manchester for over 30 years. We lovingly create each piece of furniture in our own on site workshop and retail them to the public from our showroom. Every piece of furniture we make is hand crafted work, only possible through traditional skills and know-how.We can also do recovers or repairs to most furniture including leather and fabric sofas and chairs. If we can repair we will suggest that first saving you money. If we have to recover we strip off all the fabric, check the springs and foam, then recover in the fabric of your choice.. Our consultant would come out to your home, free of charge within 25 miles of our showroom. We then give you a no obligation quote. You can see our fabric ranges in your own home, against your existing colour scheme. We try to promise a 5 day turn around by picking up Monday and returning by Friday. We can loan you a suite if necessary whilst yours is away.
