  1. THE BLUE SEA FOOD COMPANY LTD

    United Kingdom

We are a young and vibrant company with the added benefit of having senior role models in the form of past fishermen. Our boats are owned and skippered by our people, we like to keep family generations involved within the company. Our expertise goes back to the mid 1980's and we have been instrumental in developing catching methods, transportation and housekeeping of live crab. this has been mirrored in our approach to cooking and processing. Currently we deal with 2000 ton of brown crab and have invested heavily in new modern sustainable fishing boats for the future and now need to market direct to end users in Spain and Portugal. Our transportation of live shellfish is currently in vivier tanks and we are forging ahead with new technology to develop a more efficient method. we have the infrastructure to supply shellfish direct from our boats to southern Spain and Portugal on a weekly basis. When I was a young deck hand aboard a fishing vessel in the late '80s I always dreamed of developing what seemed to be an inefficient transport system! I am working closely with scientists and aquatic experts to bring this archaic system into the 21 century. I would love to meet some of you guys to discus future markets in your country. Please contact me!

  2. ASPEN AND ASH

    United Kingdom

Aspen & Ash is a long-established Cornish joinery company with more than 40 years experience in exclusive flooring across the UK. Using modern machinery, traditional methods and a wealth of knowledge, Aspen and Ash creates fine flooring and worktops custom designed to the highest quality. The Cornish oak used by Aspen and Ash is sourced from the sustainable woodlands of Tregothnan Estate in Cornwall, from trees felled as part of the natural thinning process associated with good forestry management. The engineered wood flooring market is currently awash in cheaper less sustainable wood from often, far flung places. Aspen and Ash sources wood locally to preserve endangered rainforests and reduce transportation miles, therefore minimising the carbon footprint. While remaining particular about the source of its timber, Aspen and Ash invites its clients to share the journey of the wood. All flooring produced by Aspen and Ash, from when it is felled, cut, kiln dried, finished, to when it is sent out, is completed at the workshop at Redruth. This natural material can be contrasted against chic ultra modern furnishings or used to complement period features to great effect. From the forest to floor, Aspen and Ash flooring is handmade with precision and passion, bringing warmth and character into your home.
