Nab Cottage is situated on the shore of Rydal Water, surrounded by mountains in the centre of the Lake District National Park, the most beautiful corner of England. Nab Cottage was established in 1983, is accredited by the British Council and is a member of ARELS and the international network, TANDEM Location. The Lake District National Park, 2 hours north of Manchester Airport, contains the highest mountains and the biggest lakes in England. Rydal Water, in the centre of the park, is 3 km from the villages of Grasmere and Ambleside. The area is famous for its wonderful scenery - at all times of year the landscape is magnificent and the walking is superb.
