  1. METAMOR DECORATION LTD

    United Kingdom

Our metalising & spray painting factory was founded in the early 1990s, in Chester – almost 30 years of experience! Well equipped with a range of automated machinery & tool room where new tooling is worked on & repaired. Vacuum metallising, or PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition), is the process of physically plating a metal material onto a plastic part in a vacuum chamber. The evaporation of the metal occurs by metal wire being in contact with a heat source (electrically charged tungsten filament) in a closed chamber under high vacuum. The lack of pressure lowers the boiling point of the metal which causes the liquid metal to change to a gaseous phase. The metal vapour encounters the oxygen in the air forming a stable oxide layer on the surface of the components. This gives the component an environmentally friendly, decorative metallic coating (check out our Gallery to see finished products). Metallised plastic components can be recycled and is a great alternative to traditional metal shrouds or over-shelled options which can’t be easily separated for recycling. Metamor has years of experience in providing innovative and custom spray finishes.

  2. ROSLER UK

    United Kingdom

Rősler is the world’s leading surface preparation and finishing company. We pride ourselves on manufacturing the best and widest range of shot blasting, shot peening, mass finishing and washing equipment, consumables and related equipment.Established for more than 80 years we have developed processes for the automated finishing of components manufactured from metal, wood, plastic and ceramic as well as exotic materials. Whether you are looking to deburr, radius, degrease, descale, polish or prepare a surface for a subsequent coating or plating we will have a process for you.Our test facility in the UK is at your disposal to develop a surface finishing process if your component is new or we can revisit and improve your existing process to increase your part’s profitability and value to your customers.

  3. WERIT UK LTD.

    United Kingdom

WERIT Kunststoffwerke, with its headquarters in Altenkirchen (Germany), stands for innovative plastic products and employs over 600 employees at ten locations across Europe. The group focuses on the business segments of industrial packaging (IBC/ intermediate bulk containers, industrial tanks, containers and pallets), house technology (heating oil tanks, electrical installations, sanitary ware) and special products (plastic nuts and bolts, house and garden products).Knowhow gained from countless applications has provided the foundations for producing serial parts on in-house developed production equipment with a high degree of vertical integration.- injection moulding technology (plastic pallets, storage and transportation containers, sanitary ware, valves, electrical installation materials, nuts and bolts)- Blow moulding technology (IBC, heating oil tanks, industrial tanks)- Metal processing (profiling equipment, welding equipment, e.g. for the tubular steel frame of the IBC

  4. FOTHERSHIELD

    United Kingdom

Fothershield offer EMI shielding products and thermal interface materials to help the electronics engineer comply with the electromagnetic compliance regulations. For board level design, we can offer board level shielding cans to isolate individual components. Thermally conductive gap fillers dissipate heat away to heat sinks and conformal coatings protect the board from chemical, dust, salt spray or other environmental contaminants. Enclosures often need shielding to seal any gaps. A range of conductive gaskets including conductive fabric over foam, conductive elastomers, knitted wire mesh and metal spring gaskets are available, as well as copper and aluminium metal foil tapes to seal gaps or even seams in shielded rooms. Conductive coatings such as carbon, nickel, copper silver or silver coatings can be applied to plastic enclosure for shielding. Available in epoxy, acrylic and water based urethanes. Conductive pens are used for conductive traces or repairs. 3D printing in ABS-ESD7 is an excellent material used to produce a variety of parts in areas where static build up, such as in ATEX (explosive atmospheres) industries or in electronic manufacturing industries is to be avoided. Other material, such as graphite, nylon 12, flexible polypropylenes can also be 3D printed. Aluminium honeycomb vents and EMI shielded windows are used in enclosures where airflow or visibility are required.
