  1. METAMOR DECORATION LTD

    United Kingdom

Our metalising & spray painting factory was founded in the early 1990s, in Chester – almost 30 years of experience! Well equipped with a range of automated machinery & tool room where new tooling is worked on & repaired. Vacuum metallising, or PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition), is the process of physically plating a metal material onto a plastic part in a vacuum chamber. The evaporation of the metal occurs by metal wire being in contact with a heat source (electrically charged tungsten filament) in a closed chamber under high vacuum. The lack of pressure lowers the boiling point of the metal which causes the liquid metal to change to a gaseous phase. The metal vapour encounters the oxygen in the air forming a stable oxide layer on the surface of the components. This gives the component an environmentally friendly, decorative metallic coating (check out our Gallery to see finished products). Metallised plastic components can be recycled and is a great alternative to traditional metal shrouds or over-shelled options which can’t be easily separated for recycling. Metamor has years of experience in providing innovative and custom spray finishes.

  4. PLASMATREAT (UK) LTD.

    United Kingdom

Atmospheric pressure plasma pretreatment is one of the most efficient plasma processes for cleaning, activating or coating plastics, metals, (e.g., aluminium), glass, recycled materials and composite materials. In comparison to low pressure plasma technology, no special chamber system is required when Openair® plasma technology is used.During ultrafine cleaning with Openair® plasma (plasma cleaning), surfaces are gently and safely cleaned of release agents and additives and sterilised (plasma sterilisation), while plasma activation makes later adhesion of glues and coatings possible. By using the nanocoating PlasmaPlus® (plasma coating), functionalised surface characteristics can also be produced that meet special product requirements.

  5. FILTEX APC

    United Kingdom

We specialise in the manufacture and supply of a range of ATEX and Non ATEX Dust Filter Units designed to extract dusts from processes across a variety of applications and industries.Available in a number of configurations that can be tailored to suit the requirements of the collection process including a large range of filter areas, specialist filter medias. Typical industries served include: Wood Workshops Schools & Colleges Wood Yards Chemical Industry Food Related Industries Rubber & Plastic Industry Stone, Clay & Glass Industry Industrial Machinery Metal Working Industry Textile Industry Paint Industry Agricultural Industry.Contaminated air from the dust generation source is drawn through the inlet to the collector by the fan. Initially some pre-separation takes place as heavier dust particles lose momentum and fall into the dust container or hopper. Finer dusts are carried up to the filter elements where they are retained on the outer surface of the filter fabric. The cleaned air is then passed through the filter fabric into the fan chamber and discharged. At the end of the production period the extraction is switched off at the control panel. A timer instigates a delay to allow extraction to come to rest, followed by a 30 - 60 second shaker motor clean cycle, which mechanically oscillates the filter sleeves dislodging the excessive
