The Duxford plant has six manufacturing buildings and is also HEXCEL's European Center for Research and Technology. The Duxford facility manufactures an extensive range of prepregs - epoxy, phenolic or BMI resin systems that are reinforced with carbon, glass or aramid fibers. Duxford also manufactures hotmelt prepreg resin films, a range of adhesives and honeycomb. Key applications for products made at Hexcel's Duxford site are commercial aerospace primary and secondary structures, space and defense, helicopters, defense aircraft and aero-engines. electronics, soft-body armor (ballistic), automotive, wind energy, recreation and other industrial applications. Our in-house industrial printers are designed specifically for anodised aluminium sub-surface digital printing. With a heated vacuum table and premium inks, we are able to print full-colour graphics with a photo-quality resolution of 2880 x 2880 dpi onto a wide range of metal sheets (0.3mm, 0.5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.5mm and 4mm or more). Digital printing also enables us to make bespoke, extra-durable anodised aluminium front panels, labels, nameplates, data plates, rating plates, VIN plates, badges, key tags, and other product identification plates with unique or sequential serial numbers. With the growing interest in Eurorack, MU and 5U formats, we’ve decided to offer absolute freedom in creating custom modular synths front panels. All you need is a design of your panels in vector format, and we’ll take care of the rest. We also accept files (.fpd) from the specialised software Front Panel Designer. All our aluminium nameplates, aluminium labels, aluminium front panels come with quality assurance.
