    Thrive Occupational Therapy Services work with those close to young people to identify and explore individual sensory needs, functional emotional development, and regulation, cognition, social, and motor skills. Providing advice, assessment, training, and therapy intervention in these areas enabling young people to be the best they can be, whilst improving and fulfilling their sense of well-being. Our team of Thrive OTs work within multi-disciplinary teams including teaching staff, physiotherapists, educational and clinical psychologists, speech and language therapists, and the school wellbeing team. Through collaborative working and training, our Thrive OTs can ensure each young person can participate and engage in a wide breadth of activities. From feeling safe, regulated, and ready to learn, to recognising body signals as clues to their emotions. We also work together to improve health and well-being so young people can engage in activities, develop essential life skills and scaffold learning opportunities. This could include holding a pencil or cutlery; improved attention using sensory supports; an adapted environment including appropriate seating; and to maintain self regulation to access learning and play.
