Thrive Occupational Therapy Services work with those close to young people to identify and explore individual sensory needs, functional emotional development, and regulation, cognition, social, and motor skills. From feeling safe, regulated, and ready to learn, to recognising body signals as clues to their emotions. We also work together to improve health and well-being so young people can engage in activities, develop essential life skills and scaffold learning opportunities. This could include holding a pencil or cutlery; improved attention using sensory supports; an adapted environment including appropriate seating; and to maintain self regulation to access learning and play.
