OUR STORY STARTS HEREThe story of Nostos started 20 years ago in the Greek city of Thessaloniki, one of the culinary capitals of Greece, with a diverse and multicultural food scene.That was the meeting point of Alex, our experienced head chef, and Kyriakos. Both being passionate about authentic, delicious food, it was not long before the idea of opening a restaurant together developed. After both friends moved to the UK, Brighton and Hove’s unique atmosphere provided the right backdrop against which the idea of Nostos was materialised.We firmly believe that a restaurant offering real Greek gastronomy was missing from the city and thus aim to provide an authentic Greek culinary experience.There is a lot of love for good food in our story and we look forward to continuing our pursue of exquisite food and seeing what the future has in store for Nostos. De Gusta is the brainchild of two Bristol residents, with a shared passion to develop local gastronomic culture. Using authentic products and drawing knowledge from their background in the catering industry, De Gusta is inspired by their joint heritage - of the land and of the kitchen. The team at DeGusta is young, flexible and ambitious, bringing Mediterranean produce to the heart of modern cuisine, whether contemporary or classic. Today, we are proud to work with providers such as Bocha Fruit, La Cuina, Severn Project, Verdcamps, Gamboa and Cooperativa San Isidro to whom we are very grateful. We adapt our produces to every season, oferenig either local produce and imported produce. We bring the local produce from the local farmers that grow the finest vegetables to you. We chose the perfect season for every vegetable to obtain a unique flavour. We take pride in providing fresh vegetables just for you and in case this is not possible, we import the seasons produce from the mediterranean zone instead. On the other hand we offer imported seasonal produce to complement what we are not able to source locally, working with Spanish producers to ensure optimum and authentic quality and flavour. We also offer many organic products.
