Ernest Spirig, Dipl. El. Ing. ETH, founded the company DIPL. ING. ERNEST SPIRIG in Rapperswil, Switzerland, in 1969. Since 1979, the subsidiary Spirig Advanced Technologies Inc in Springfield, MA, also covers the US market. Among the varied Spirig temperature measurement and documentation technologies, the temperature recording labels under the brand names CelsiClock®, CelsiPoint®, CelsiDot®, CelsiStrip®, HubAlert® are best known. The patented Spirig Spirflame® multi-cell electrolysis technology makes it possible to produce thermally highly stable just-in-time (JIT) microflames. These microflames are used in high-speed soft- and hard-soldering and microwelding. The Spirflame® - LA2050® automation realises vibration-resistant, high-tensile and corrosion-protected crimp-wire assemblies. The Spirig "Wick" desoldering braids are successfully used for gently removing solder during the repair and touch-up of electronic equipment.
