Alloyed aluminum billets are the raw material for extruded profiles. They are sawed into blocks and heated in an induction furnace to the optimal pressing temperature. After that, the heated billet is pressed through a tool with great force, and the profile emerges from the tool—much like squeezing toothpaste from a tube. Cooling with air or water occurs immediately after the profile exits the tool.
