... The rapid on-site measurement of the pour point allows for the determination of the temperature at which the oil stops flowing. The pour point parameter can be tested using the testing equipment "Stockpunkt Check". A tube with a warm oil sample and a thermometer is placed in a measuring container and sprayed with cold spray until the oil stops flowing. The corresponding temperature is noted as A. Then, the sample is gradually heated to temperature B, at which the oil flows again. The pour point is the average of both temperatures.
