Located in the Valparaíso valley, to the south of the capital between the lowlands and the mountains, the cooperative packs the olives that it grows, selecting the finest extra-virgin olive oil. Our cooperative operates several quality control installations that enable us to guarantee the quality of our production, from crushing to distribution, storage to packaging.
FINCA LA GRAMANOSA

Finca La Gramanosa, produce and control all the process of the oil, from the own fields, to the costumer, we have 240 hectares of olives trees in Barcelona and Tarragona. Our extra virgin olive oil is recollected at beginning of October, is a cold extraction, (under 25ºC), and it give us a very green flavored, bitter and spicy evoo. Green almond, fresh grass, tomato, lettuce and artichoke, are the most expressive flavors of our extra virgin olive oil. The predominant variety is Arbequina in 90%, Picual is a 5%, and the other one 5%, is Hojiblanca, Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla and Cerasuola. The olive oil is conserved under nitrogen atmosphere during his storage, to fight against the oxygen and temperature controlled. We won a lot of prizes around the world, China, Japan, New York, California, Italy, France, Greece, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom... Year per year we are looking, for a best quality of the oil, to put our mill on the top of the best mills of the world. We are searching a distribution chain to sell our high quality extra virgin olive oil in United Kingdom and around the Europe.

The new generation of Aguilar’s family is in charge of the family business now to make it grow. With this project, our intention is to undertake a rigorous monitoring of the whole olive oil production process where we can control all of its aspects, from the olive tree, to the olive collection, then to the grinding process and the bottling, in order to obtain the highest quality oil. The brand name ÁGURA is derived from the fusion of the family names AGUILAR and SEGURA. Following some years of business training and the collective development of a tangible idea, our numerous points of view began to converge into one, single objective, a unified perception of the work-life balance that we wished to unite under a single project name. ÁGURA is symbolic of this joint purpose. The arbequina is a variety of olive tree. The variety is native to the village of Arbeca, Lleida, in the region of Les Garrigues, which gave it its name. This variety is considered one of the best in the world, both for its production and regularity and for the quality of its oil. It is a very productive variety. The ripening date is medium, from the first fortnight of November. The fruits of the olive are small, spherical, symmetrical and are clustered. They are black when ripe and have no lenticels on the skin of the fruit. It is self-fertile. Its fruits do not ripen simultaneously, and it has a medium resistance to detachment. The Arbequina cooperative is one of the Arbequina oil producers with a protected Denomination of Origin “Les Garrigues Oil”, controlled by the DOP Les Garrigues Regulatory Council based in Lleida. It is the first denomination of origin of oil recognized in the Spanish territory (1975), certified in 1996 by the European Union as PDO, recognizing the excellent quality of Catalan olive oil.
