The company BREAT has patented a machine that creates honeycombs with fully formed hexagonal cells. Its raw material for making these honeycombs is the same beeswax, which is processed by melting the wax, filtering it, and depositing it into continuous molds that shape the wax. Once the wax has solidified, the machine ejects the formed honeycomb from the mold and stacks it for packaging. The use of these BREAT honeycombs allows for an increase in honey production from the hive, as the bee colony can dedicate all its efforts to honey collection rather than constructing the honeycombs.
