Oona, which means ‘one’ in Gaelic, is the name of an exclusive jewellery collection crafted by master artisans in Sri Lanka. Delicate handmade pieces with a rich variety of natural gems and precious stones set with the utmost care and attention to detail; each piece is unique in its design and creation. After many years of travelling to Asia, Maria Moro founded this jewellery brand that aims to revive traditional jewellery values and techniques. Maria lives between Madrid and Sri Lanka. She developed her professional career in fashion and lifestyle magazines and over the past few years has worked in the luxury industry in various countries across Europe but it was through her continuous trips to Asia that she fell in love with jewellery; always attracted to antique pieces, gems and the techniques of local craftsmen, so little by little, she began to create and design her own pieces, learn gemmology and revive unique jewellery processes.
