...Grape seed oil is an excellent source of antioxidants, tocopherols (Vitamin E) and high contents of phytosterols and polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid, oleic acid, and alpha-linolenic acid. Grape seed oil contains high amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA):Linoleic acid (LA) and alpha linolenic acid (ALA) which belong to the n-6 (Omega-6) and n-3 (Omega-3) series of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). They are defined ‘essential’ fatty acids since they are not synthesized in the human body and should be taken exclusively by diet.
