...Fire-resistant hatches (RF/EI) are manufactured with 15mm thick fireproof plasterboard – 1 panel of 15mm for the RF/EI 30 fire-resistant hatch or with 2 panels of 15mm for the RF/EI 60 and RF/EI 90, supported by a structure of aluminum or galvanized steel profiles. The sealing of the area between the frames is done using intumescent tape. Intumescent tape is a material that, when exposed to high temperatures, expands in volume, thereby completely sealing the joint to prevent the passage of smoke, flames, and hot gases. The hatches are insulated on the non-exposed side with rock wool panels.
