The aim of drawing is to produce products in the form of bars or wires, which are characterized by very high cross-sectional accuracy and a smooth, shiny surface, as well as specific mechanical properties that can only be achieved through this type of forming. During the drawing process, the material undergoes cold hardening – its strength is increased while its plastic deformability is reduced.
