We make regular visit to the farms to engage in every aspect of the crop development. Family owned and managed, AGRAR Ko maintains long term relationship with 100 local family farms allowing us to select the very best produce from every harvest. We have in place a tracking system which allows us to follow our vegetables from farm batch to delivery, and all stages in between, gaining a leading role in the region for peppers production. Being 100% privately owned and managed, we have the capacity to offer personalized solutions for clients in addition to our standard products. THE ORIGINAL BILTONG COMPANY is a purveyor of fine, artisan Biltong and meat snacks made with love and passion by our South African Head Butcher and according to a family recipe passed down through more than 6 generations. All of our handpicked meat is locally sourced, grass fed British Beef with total traceability back to the farm. We believe in understanding the provenance of our meat. We know where the animal was raised, how it was treated, how it lived. Our products are Gluten and sugar-free with no added MSG. We offer a wide and growing range of different spices and different Biltong and Droe Wors meat varieties from Original, Piri Piri and Garlic. We supply many pubs and top end restaurants and use an original family recipe that was handed down for over more than 6 generations. The word biltong is from the Dutch bil (“rump”) and tong (“strip” or “tongue”). There are many different versions and stories about where biltong jerky actually originated from, but one thing remains consistent. It came about from the need to preserve the meats that were hunted or raised for food as none of today’s modern preservation techniques existed. The methods of dried meat from Dutch settlers and used salt and vinegar to cure the meat, and spices that were freely available to add flavour. It was then hung in strips over tree branches to dry naturally in the sun. The biltong we eat today still harks back to those more primitive times but with a few modern twists.

Our company owns 210, 000m2 of land in the Izmir/Ödemis region, and our 150-year-old chestnut trees produce high quality chestnuts due to the climate and nutrient-rich soil. Our employees come from the region and are fully acquainted with the harvesting and care of the trees. They thoroughly screen the fine fruits produced by the trees before packing them into natural fibre sacks. Organic farming is a high priority for us: we do not use any artificial fertilisers or chemicals. By using mineral fertilisers only, we are able to retain the natural cycles in the local environment. Our long-term aim is to establish and expand the use of this versatile and delicious fruit by the general population. We guarantee production reliability through our strict quality control systems.

Our manufacturing laboratory is located in Montpellier, France. We prefer to purchase raw materials from local producers and French suppliers. We can work with you if you have a project for creating and manufacturing a natural cosmetic product.
