The company was founded in 1986 as a sole trader business by Edgar Hohmann, who was trained as an industrial engineer. Such was the company's growth that he very soon needed more space and had to rent an entire hall, where operations continued until the current production site was built in 1992. In 2011, the company was passed on to the second generation, ably led by Managing Directors Karin Hohmann-Riecke (Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing., MSc.) and Stefan Hohmann (master craftsman, business manager). In 2020, the existing production hall was extended to increase production and manufacture capacities. The company presently employs 18 people and operates 10 CNC turning machines, a milling centre, a laser marking machine, Trowal machines and many other finishing and measuring machines. Furthermore, we have long-standing working relationships with many partners, enabling us to offer a one-stop shop for most additional processing works such as nickel plating and tin plating.

We specialize in the production of acid-resistant steel equipment for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical, food and related industries. Full, in-house facilities: production hall, construction office equipped with computer aided design systems CAD (INWENTOR) allows us to carry out projects, both according to individual customer needs as well as entire technological lines along with automation in 3D system. BOCCARD KATES carries out projects, equipment and process lines (including in HACCP, GMP standards) and provides assembly, commissioning, service of manufactured equipment, validation, full certification with CE mark, EX and full cycle of acceptance i.e. FAT/ SAT, OQ/IQ, DQ. We design, manufacture and certify equipment for explosive atmospheres, (in accordance with the requirements of Directive 9/94/EC ATEX), which by their operation cover dusty and gaseous atmospheres of II explosiveness group and equipment of 1, 2, 3 categories, temperature classes T1-T6. The devices we manufacture are pressure-vacuum reactors, homogenizing mixers, compact mixers, process equipment and many others.
