In the distillery Mackmyra Bruk, Sweden, is created the famous Scandinavian whisky Mackmyra. A strong flavored, Scandinavian tasting malt. You are looking for a malt whisky which follows the Scottish production route but is offering something genuinely different, then Mackmyra’s your malt! Distilled with Swedish barley, matured in very small casks, Mackmyra’s whisky is produced with local ingredients and without additives. The result has put Sweden on the international whisky map. Some of Mackmyra’s whiskys are: Mackmyra First Edition: matured in small virgin Swedish oak casks; Mackmyra Special 03 Small Casks: for the maturation of this experimental malt a mixture of Sherry, Bourbon and New Swedish Oak casks were used; Mackmyra Special 01 Eminent Sherry: matured in Spanish sherry casks, offering this whisky a warming, spicy character; and olso: The special 10th Anniversary edition of Mackmyra: matured in Swedish oak as well as bourbon casks.

International trade shows are resuming, and Faca Packaging is launching new eco-friendly packaging to commemorate its 50th anniversary, ranging from recyclable to biodegradable, as well as other packaging solutions. In 1991, the company was the first in the world to supply poly(methacrylate of methyle), or PMMA, the world's most transparent plastic, for cosmetic packaging. The new packaging was shown at the most recent edition of the Luxe Pack Monaco trade show, which took place in Monaco from October 3 to 5, 2021. Brewery ‘De Feniks’ is a micro-brewery which was established mid 2016. With Brew masters Gino Vantieghem (Unibroue Quebec, Liefmans breweries…) and Jasper Candaele – both bio engineers – the brewery has over 30 years of international brewing experience under roof. Kurt Decoene and Angela Wang complete the team and bring a lot of international management and business experience with them. The brewery produces a standard range of 6 beers and releases at regular intervals limited and special edition brews. The brewery creates beers to measure for third parties (private persons, organisations, companies…) : recipes are developed in close consultation with the customer. The brewery defines itself as an open-source brewery and acts as an incubator for starting breweries and beer companies. The decade long international experience of master brewer Gino Vantieghem makes that De Feniks is familiar with a very wide range of beer styles. Gino Vantieghem received a life-time achievement award at the age of 37 out of the hands of the legendary beer writer and beerhunter Michael Jackson. The first beer he created for Unibroue : blanche de Chambly is still being produced and won no less than 34 awards and was voted best white beer in the world on several occasions. With his experience at Unibroue Gino Vantieghem was one of the sparks that lit what would later become the craft beer revolution.
