The stems are woody at the base and can reach 60 cm or more in height. The clusters of yellow flowers are produced in Summer, they retain their colour after picking and are used in dried flower arrangements. Long time under Sun decides it's aromatic characteristics. Since 1960 in Esencias Martínez Lozano S.A. we have been dedicating to cultivation, harvest and distillation of the different Spanish aromatic herbs, and trading a high quantity of first quality essential Oils.We are located in the South-East of Spain, exactly in Caravaca de la Cruz, region of Murcia, which is the main area in Spanish essential oils production.At present, we have own plantations, where we cultivate Spike Lavender, Red Thyme, Oregano, Cypress, Sage, Lavender, and Lavandins.We also harvest wild herbs such as Cistus, Fennel, Rosemary, Marjoram, Oregano, Thymes, Rue, etc...In 2002, we became a mainly exporter company, and today our exportations of essential oils represent the 80% of our invoicing.Since 2004, we were awarded the European Ecological Agriculture Certification, for producing and trading Organic Essential Oils.In 2006 we obtained the NOP Certification, which enables us to produce and trade organic essential Oils destined for the North American market.

We produce process and trade organic oregano products. Our fields are cultivated with Greek oregano (Origanum vulgare ssp. Hirtum). We offer excellent quality and aroma dry organic oregano ready to be packaged for the retail food market. Our essential oil is carvacrol type (higher than 80%) top quality and organic certified. The variety of oregano we cultivate in our farmland has been selected in collaboration with scientific institutes and expert researchers in the field of aromatic plants. Furthermore, all the propagation plant material used has been produced by cuttings, in order to conserve the genetic characteristics of the selected variety and to ensure excellent quality control.

Since 2004, Bleu d’Argens has been distilling and producing essential oils and hydrosols of lavender, savory, sage and hyssop from its own plants as well as creating its own natural aromatic well-being preparations since 2009.
