The company was established in 1967 in the city of Varshets with the opening of a factory for electromagnetic ballasts production. The factory was equipped with German machinery, using a German technology, manufacturing a great variety of lighting industry components. Since 2000 the company is a private venture of 100% Bulgarian capital. The plant was additionally renovated and modernized, again using German technology and equipment for its automatic processes. Currently Electrostart JSCo is the sole Bulgarian manufacturer of electromagnetic and electric ballasts, transformers, ignition devices and other components for luminescent, metal-halide, sodium, mercury and gas-discharge lighting units. Electrostart is a registered trademark in the European Union, along with a number of countries in the Middle East, Northern Africa and South America. The company has a consistent representation on the markets in over 40 countries around the world, spreading over 4 continents.

Nylon Colours, based in Aylesbury, UK, specialise exclusively in the formulation of Nylon coating powders for fluidised bed, mini-coat and electrostatic application. All Nylon powders are created with Rilsan® Polyamide 11, a 100% biobased fine powder polymer with high performance and trademark properties, including being lightweight, durable and tough. Nylon Colours can supply worldwide, at short notice, a wide range of standard colours, including RAL, Munsell, British Standard and Pantone, in addition to the complete range of Rilsan® coating powders. If none of these items is suitable, a custom match colour service can produce the desired product with quick delivery times within a few days. Nylon Colours also supply antimicrobial and antibacterial, metallic and other special finishes. Special formulations can be produced for particular applications, i.e. highly conductive powder for coating items subject to static build-up in explosive atmospheres, bolt patching powder, both standard and cross-linking, high build dipping powders for brassiere underwires and powders for electrical busbar insulation. Nylon Colours antimicrobial and antibacterial range, Nylon R-AM combines one of the toughest, most durable coatings on the market with the proven antimicrobial protection of Biomaster. Nylon Colours is able to supply the full range of colours and grades of its Rilsan® based coatings in an antimicrobial formulation.
