In the last few weeks, ISM GmbH has built a state-of-the-art processing centre for paper and cardboard in eastern Thuringia in the heart of Germany. Here, raw materials from paper and cardboard manufacturers are further processed into rolls and formats for a wide variety of industries. For this purpose, high-performance machines have been purchased and put into operation in the last few weeks, with which ISM is able to significantly increase quality and productivity. ISM's balance sheet will also improve considerably from an environmental point of view, since the new machine park saves a lot of energy per ton and also reduces material consumption, as production can be carried out more effectively. We have been processing plastic films and sheets for more than 45 years. One of our areas of focus is the production of packaging, which we manufacture in the broadest sense through forming processes via the deep-drawing method. We process material thicknesses of 0.2–12 mm on high-performance automatic rolling and sheet preparation machines. The maximum forming area is currently 1500 x 2400 mm. The vacuum forming technology is supplemented by post-processing techniques, such as pressing, milling, bending, gluing, welding, sealing, joining through to contract packaging. From the first design to CAD design, prototyping, moulding and through to the final packaged product, we also implement our customers' unusual requests.
