We know where the animal was raised, how it was treated, how it lived. Our products are Gluten and sugar-free with no added MSG. We offer a wide and growing range of different spices and different Biltong and Droe Wors meat varieties from Original, Piri Piri and Garlic. We supply many pubs and top end restaurants and use an original family recipe that was handed down for over more than 6 generations. The word biltong is from the Dutch bil (“rump”) and tong (“strip” or “tongue”). There are many different versions and stories about where biltong jerky actually originated from, but one thing remains consistent. It came about from the need to preserve the meats that were hunted or raised for food as none of today’s modern preservation techniques existed. The methods of dried meat from Dutch settlers and used salt and vinegar to cure the meat, and spices that were freely available to add flavour. It was then hung in strips over tree branches to dry naturally in the sun. The biltong we eat today still harks back to those more primitive times but with a few modern twists.

"Dor-August" was founded in 2007. However, our history begins much earlier: until its official founding, we carried out our activity as a Peasant Farm. Today, after many years of working out of love for people, we are recognized with the trademark ADOVA - Love from Moldova. One of our first important achievements was marked in 2001, when we built the first two plum dehydration ovens. Soon another remarkable event followed in the company’s development - we planted the first orchard of about 15 ha. In the present, we own 13 dehydration ovens and 70 ha of plum orchards with two types of varieties: Stanley and Anna-Shpett. This spring, ADOVA is going to increase its capacity to 20 plum dehydration ovens. Our plans are beautiful and we are always with a new development perspective - in the near future we plan to increase the production capacity of up to 4000 tons of freshly processed production. Thus, we will diversify the assortment and we will also go into retail. The story of ADOVA has the main heroes the members of our family, a family with traditions and workers, parents, wife, children and godchildren. We were the ones who believed in our dream, but also the ones who were involved over time in all production processes.

From Engineer to Master Aleppo Soapmaker. In 1989 Riad BASMAJI (RB) "who hailed from Aleppo", finished his post-graduate studies and was awarded his doctorate in Earth Sciences Engineering from the Paris Observatory. He submitted his knowledge to serve several French firms. He discovered the virtues of Aleppo soap by pure coincidence.In 1993 while staying in Cannes, RB had a fungal attack between his thighs. This cutaneous mycosis problem came and went on and off for 4 years. In 1997, his sister came to visit him in France from Aleppo in Syria. She gave her brother a gift: it was Aleppo soap. At the time, this soap was unheard of in France and Europe. RB used the Aleppo soap on his body. After 3 months, he made a happy discovery: the fungal problem had been eradicated. This personal story prompted him to conduct an in-depth study of this miraculous soap and ensure that everybody could take advantage of its virtues. Great love and passion were aroused for Aleppo soap. In 2001 in conjunction with two friends, he set up a firm to distribute Aleppo soap in France. The haphazard dosing of laurel berry oil by most of the master soap makers of Aleppo, persuaded him to open his first soap works in the Aleppo region (Kafar Naha) in 2003 with the aim of mastering the manufacture of his Aleppo soap from start to finish.

The story of Vignobles Kandler started 30 years ago when our Franco-German family decided to acquire land in the hinterlands of the Minervois region, in Roubia, an area between sea and mountain, between the medieval town of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi. Château Tourril takes its name from the Pierre du Tourril, an ancient Gallo-Roman signal tower that has looked over this scrubland for over 2000 years. The second generation of the family took over in 2014 and decided to expand the winery, switch to certified organic production, work to boost its profile and export sales. Driven by his love of wines from southern France, Stephan Kandler met Bertrand Hardy, himself from a wine-making family in the Rhone valley, and together they decided to make their first organic wine together, a 2016 vintage at Bertrand's Domaine des Pentelines, close to Avignon. After three vintages made jointly, Bertrand sold Stephan the marvellous 24 hectares of organic DPO Côtes du Rhône Villages Gadagne, a pebble-based terroir identical to that found in Châteauneuf du Pape. The characteristics of these two terroirs, these two appellations, are profoundly marked by the history and climate of southern France, and the influence of the Mediterranean in particular. The geographical similarities are heightened by our expertise in typical grape varieties that allow each terroir to express its own unique personality.

They aim to enhance in the child, or in whom handles them, an active and creative intervention. PUKACA believes in the principle that the difference enriches us. It’s important to have toys that raise creativity, provide new experiences, highlight the human individuality and allow interactivity with others. We’re always delighted with the traditional tales, the Brothers Grimm folk tales & legends, the La Fontaine fables, the Medieval stories, the Natural World and all the other worlds that belong to the children’s imaginary. Ethnicraft creates beautiful furniture and decorative objects that are the foundation for people’s homes, to inspire the stories of their lives. For twenty-five years, we have been creating timeless furniture from solid wood. We love that it evolves with the years as it carries the marks of the life that happens to it. As it is incredibly strong and ages well with time, we believe wood is what makes our furniture the solid and dependable foundation of a home. We create collections for every room of the house: from the furniture that defines the purpose of a space, to the objects and accessories that layer it with meaning. All of our designs are intentionally timeless. They withstand trends and associate well with different styles, so they can be passed on from one home to the next, carrying over the stories of one lifetime into another.
