The foundation of HeVaTech dates back to a very tragic event. Due to a motorcycle accident, the left forefoot of Sigmar Hengge, Head of Development at HeVaTech, had to be amputated. Ever since, Mr Hengge has had to wear a prosthesis, leading to further problems. These include: Bruises, pain caused by the resulting scar and knee joint complaints due to poor posture. In 2003, he came across cupping therapy. However, the existing technology was unsuitable for these problems, so the experienced system and device developer developed his own cupping device with an accompanying cupping glass, and was even able to expand upon previous standards.
