...Starting in the 1950s, series production of metal roofs and their components began in New Zealand. For aesthetic reasons, a layer of stone was added to the bitumen coating. The combination of bitumen and stone is no longer used today. What remains are elegantly designed metal roofs made of zinc, pre-weathered zinc, and copper. Furthermore, metal edge bending is now used for wall coverings/wall cap coverings, dormer cladding, corner protection sheets, snow guards, decorative strips, box gutters, ridge sheets, eaves sheets, and much more.
