Goetz Sobisch and Joachim Schenke founded the company in 1998 at the premises of the welding training and research institute of Halle (SLV Halle GmbH). A fruitful synergy of 30 years of combined professional experience was established by Mr Götz Sobisch on the one hand, whose area of expertise lay in the field of electron beam technology development, and by Mr Joachim Schenke on the other, who specialised in the production of pressure-bearing components. This led to the idea of investing in suitable electron beam machinery and electron beam technology that could be used in the flexible production of small and medium batch sizes as well as individual components. Since it was founded, the company has been able to demonstrate a high level of competence and expertise in the development of electron beam machining techniques, as well as in the development of related products and technologies in general.
