The Radiotherapy Patient System by gKteso revolutionizes radiotherapy with linear accelerator as it streamlines the preparatory process both for patients and assisting personnel. gKteso introduces two models of the innovative 6D-Robotic-Couch - RPS base and extended - to the international medical technology market. RPS base Key advantages of the system are patient alignment without unnecessary corrections due to stored patient data, flexible mobility of the platform by six degrees of freedom as well as user-friendly, reliable platform alignment. RPS extended Extended provides this array of features as well. The system allows positioning and fixation for radiotherapy of up to three patients at the same time. When the extended system is deployed, these preliminary works are carried out in separate anterooms. Patients are gently transferred to the system via automated satellite arms and subsequently conveyed to the linear accelerator. At this point medical technology assistants (MTA) may review the precision settings. Once radiation is completed, the patient is moved back to the cabin and may leave the platform easily.

SPECIALIST IN INDIVIDUAL SOLUTIONS FOR LASER PRECISION FINISHING. LILA GmbH has been active as a specialist in laser precision finishing for more than 25 years. In addition to fine cutting and precision drilling, precision laser welding is a particular expertise. A wide range of metals and ceramic materials are processed on 25 fixed bed and fibre laser systems. Quality assurance at the highest level is obligatory at LILA, which is why all processes are certified both according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and according to the DIN EN ISO 13485 medical standard. Medical cannulas, measurement electrodes, surgical instruments, components for sensitive gauges or complex components for precision operations are standard metal workpieces that are manufactured at LILA. LILA is the market leader in the field of thick ceramics in particular, and can process material thicknesses of 0.1 mm–27 mm. CERAMIC METAL COMPONENTS FOR USE IN HIGH-TECH APPLICATIONS. Vacuum-tight metal ceramic composite components – manufactured from the high-performance material aluminium oxide and a metallic join partner – are the core business of Alumina Systems GmbH. These components are used where switching of maximum energies is involved, e.g. in energy, laser, X-ray, plasma, medical and accelerator technology. A great advantage of technical ceramics is the high electrical insulation up to high temperatures. Fields of application are, for instance Sensors in ship engines (thin-wire bonding), precursor gas distributing rings with wafer coating (PE-ALD) or small engines for satellites. Here, ceramic composite components first allow the application to be realised. In addition to standard products like electrical feedthroughs, vacuum switching tubes or vacuum insulators, the demand for customer-specific high-end applications is constantly increasing. At Alumina Systems, mechanical/thermal stresses on a component are simulated here via the finite element method (FEM) even before the actual construction of the component, and the most suitable design for the application is thus selected – without having to produce a real component.
