AfB social & green IT. Purchasing and remarketing of business hardware. The IT refurbisher AfB social & green IT specialises in data destruction, reconditioning and remarketing of used company hardware. Companies, banks, insurance companies and authorities recognise our certified, multiple-award-winning process and make an important contribution to inclusion and climate protection. AfB stands for "Arbeit für Menschen mit Behinderung", a non-profit organisation for work for people with disabilities. Almost half of the 500 employees are disabled. We buy used IT and mobile devices, irrevocably delete all data, prepare the hardware and sell it in our AfB shops or in the AfB online shop. Out of the 500, 000 items of IT equipment we deal with each year, we can resell two thirds. The other third is professionally recycled in Europe. By extending the useful life of these items, we are reducing the impact on the environment and climate, and can prove that we are conserving resources to our IT partners by means of detailed key figures.

Bechtle Remarketing GmbH is the specialist in sustainable IT lifecycle management in the Bechtle Group. In addition to the purchase and sale of IT hardware, the company ensures that data is erased securely. Certified according to DIN EN ISO 27001, it recycles or disposes of parts that can no longer be used in cooperation with a local disposal company. If customers request, Bechtle Remarketing coordinates logistics processes, recalls of old devices and, together with other Bechtle units, rollouts of new equipment. Devices that are still in good working order receive a "second life" by being used again, either by being sold or rented. In the last reporting year, 123, 529 devices were able to be put back into useful service, just through the sale of used IT hardware. The processes are also checked as part of internal and external audits in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001. Environmental standards within the company are checked and adapted where necessary.
