The Otto Junker high-grade steel foundry in Lammersdorf, Simerath (20 km south of Aachen), specialises in special alloys. Our range of materials offers customers a wide selection of high-alloy iron-, nickel- and cobalt-based varieties. These materials are melted in highly efficient induction ovens, using vacuum technology where required. Our range of products includes corrosion-resistant alloys, heat-resistant alloys, non-magnetisable alloys, hard-wearing alloys and multiple special nickel- and cobalt-based alloys. We also make cast ferrous materials designed to handle exceptionally high levels of stress corrosion from JUNKERALLOY® nickel-based alloys. We have been producing and supplying many of these materials for decades. We produce more materials than are shown on our website – about 100 varieties in total.

Zalewa Tec primarily produces sand castings and sand cores for foundries using 3D printing. A binder jetting process is used, which means that no support structures are required. We derive the necessary printing data from your technical drawings or CAD data. Needless to say, we can also print data sets you have created yourself and create a digital version of your original component. In addition, we can also reproduce spare parts made from steel, iron, aluminium, magnesium, copper, zinc, tin, nickel and cobalt alloys, as well as manufacturing your pre-series and managing your projects until they are ready for series production. Moreover, we can print foundry and thermoforming models made of sand and continue processing them such that small series can be produced. We offer the following delivery forms: Semi-finished products including plates, sheets, foils, rods, wires and tubes. Turned and milled parts, precision components, edge and bent parts, laser or waterjet cut parts, wire-cut parts, standard DIN fasteners, custom fasteners, micro screws and titanium castings. We offer brushed, ground, polished, electropolished, PVD coated and anodised (coloured) surface finishes. For the hydrogen industry in particular, we are happy to supply you with high-quality materials such as titanium or nickel foils, for the manufacture of products including Bipolar plates or spring elements in the form of titanium expanded metal. We are also strongly positioned for customer-specific manufacturing of titanium felt sheets. We supply titanium felt in thicknesses from 0.1–5.0 mm and panel formats up to L1500xW500[mm]. The porosity of titanium felt can range from 50–90%. The fibre thickness used can be 20 µm or 50 µm. We are happy to support you in your product development. We work with SolidWorks, Inventor and AutoCad.

CONTINUOUS CASTING OF ALUMINIUM In a vertical equal-level aluminium continuous casting process, we cast round billets up to 6, 400mm in length and seamed at both ends. The dimensions range from a diameter of 178 mm to 696 mm, also independent from the alloy and number of strands. We are highly flexible when it comes to changes in alloy and formats and respond to short-term orders. Aluminium is used wherever low weight and high strength is required. For Leichtmetall Aluminium Giesserei Hannover GmbH it means manufacturing numerous high-strength aluminium alloys for the aviation and aerospace industries as well as vehicle, power plant and mould-making construction: “hard alloys” of the highest quality. SMELTING Secondary aluminium (processed scraps), aluminium ingots, and addition metals such as copper, chrome, nickel, titanium, beryllium, zirconia, manganese, zinc, tin, magnesium, silica, lead and/or bismuth and iron are smelted to form diverse wrought aluminium alloys in two tiltable 50 tonne channel induction furnaces, strictly in accordance with norms or customer requirements.
