Using thermal spraying to optimise and regenerate components is considered environmentally friendly in many ways. It significantly shortens the production chain and increases the service life of workpieces. As a result, the raw materials process, which is the most environmentally damaging part of production, is either eliminated or substantially reduced. We're also delighted to have dispensed with the complex process of transporting products from the raw material sources to the processing sites. For over 30 years, GESCO-metall GmbH has stood for quality, competence and experience in the field of contract bending. The main areas of focus of our manufacturing are curved parts for windows, round windows, doors and facades, as well as complex special profiles for industrial construction, vehicle manufacturing, plant engineering and medical technology. It goes without saying that we also bend aluminium covering shells for the wood/aluminium sector. Our bending technology range is rounded off by complete curved elements, including electrolytic oxidation of aluminium, powder coating, metal fittings and glass, together with window sills and soffit cladding. For years, GESCO has manufactured portholes made of stainless steel and portholes made of aluminium. These frames are a real eye-catcher for internal and external doors, panels and facades. GESCO’s portholes are used in a wide range of facilities, such as hotels, gastronomy, airports, hospitals, nurseries, schools, etc., not just thanks to their appearance, but also due to their practicality.

CERAMIC METAL COMPONENTS FOR USE IN HIGH-TECH APPLICATIONS. Vacuum-tight metal ceramic composite components – manufactured from the high-performance material aluminium oxide and a metallic join partner – are the core business of Alumina Systems GmbH. These components are used where switching of maximum energies is involved, e.g. in energy, laser, X-ray, plasma, medical and accelerator technology. A great advantage of technical ceramics is the high electrical insulation up to high temperatures. Fields of application are, for instance Sensors in ship engines (thin-wire bonding), precursor gas distributing rings with wafer coating (PE-ALD) or small engines for satellites. Here, ceramic composite components first allow the application to be realised. In addition to standard products like electrical feedthroughs, vacuum switching tubes or vacuum insulators, the demand for customer-specific high-end applications is constantly increasing. At Alumina Systems, mechanical/thermal stresses on a component are simulated here via the finite element method (FEM) even before the actual construction of the component, and the most suitable design for the application is thus selected – without having to produce a real component.
