Our extensive machinery allows us to offer products from an individual part to a small series. Who are Feuerland-Werkstätten? We are a team of around 20 employees, and are experts in the new production and reconditioning of shock absorbers. We also produce bogie components, as well as welded parts for rail vehicles. Our production is customer-specific and based on a sample. This also includes metal parts, milled parts, turned parts and welded parts. We have been offering tailor-made solutions of the highest level of quality since 1932. Our product range: The extensive machinery and the expertise of personnel in the areas of transformation, CNC and conventional machining make it possible for us to offer everything – from an individual part to a small series. Machining and processing of standard steels, through high-alloy steels and right up to all non-ferrous metals is at the forefront here. We are specialists in sizing and manufacturing stamped and punched parts which are suitable for manufacturing, including designing and constructing the tools required for this purpose. Our range of processing services includes copper/copper alloys, brass, steel/stainless steel and aluminium. Our specialists can translate your design requirements into reality at our four workshops which have over 50 punching machines, six punching units and additional equipment for threads, assembling and laser welding which can be integrated, as well as devices for vibratory grinding, polishing and tempering. BKM's manufacturing depth is extremely high, meaning that we can always undertake the core processes for tool and part manufacturing ourselves. Small and medium series production are part of our key areas of expertise thanks to our BIHLER BNC manufacturing systems in the field of punching. We manufacture large series on punching machines, typically with camera surveillance and 24/7 operation with automatic container changers, if required.

All our steel parts are galvanised in line with DIN EN ISO 1462 and DIN EN 10346: 2009-07, and consequently offer protection against corrosion and weathering. The initially glossy surfaces will become dull with time, but will present no defects. Dark, dull, burnt areas, white rust and small irregularities are not faults, but rather a natural part of the appearance of batch-galvanised steel outer surfaces. BWA system refuse housing: The housing is designed as a variable modular system. It is high-quality, stable and integrated into the surroundings – with four standard modules that can, however, be individually adapted to your wishes.

The company was founded in 1986 as a sole trader business by Edgar Hohmann, who was trained as an industrial engineer. Such was the company's growth that he very soon needed more space and had to rent an entire hall, where operations continued until the current production site was built in 1992. In 2011, the company was passed on to the second generation, ably led by Managing Directors Karin Hohmann-Riecke (Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing., MSc.) and Stefan Hohmann (master craftsman, business manager). In 2020, the existing production hall was extended to increase production and manufacture capacities. The company presently employs 18 people and operates 10 CNC turning machines, a milling centre, a laser marking machine, Trowal machines and many other finishing and measuring machines. Furthermore, we have long-standing working relationships with many partners, enabling us to offer a one-stop shop for most additional processing works such as nickel plating and tin plating.
