The company was founded in 1986 as a sole trader business by Edgar Hohmann, who was trained as an industrial engineer. Such was the company's growth that he very soon needed more space and had to rent an entire hall, where operations continued until the current production site was built in 1992. In 2011, the company was passed on to the second generation, ably led by Managing Directors Karin Hohmann-Riecke (Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing., MSc.) and Stefan Hohmann (master craftsman, business manager). In 2020, the existing production hall was extended to increase production and manufacture capacities. The company presently employs 18 people and operates 10 CNC turning machines, a milling centre, a laser marking machine, Trowal machines and many other finishing and measuring machines. Furthermore, we have long-standing working relationships with many partners, enabling us to offer a one-stop shop for most additional processing works such as nickel plating and tin plating.

Our service begins with selecting the granite on site. Every raw block is checked for cracks and veins. We ensure that only the best material is processed. We take gabbro and diabase hard stone up to a size of 6500 x 2800 mm. Thanks to our wide range of stock – around 3000 tonnes – we guarantee short delivery times, thereby saving time and avoiding unnecessary transportation. By using CNC technology, the blocks are cut with maximum material yield. Blocks of up to 7500 x 2800 mm are ground coarsely and finely with maximum precision. Plate openings, threaded inserts of all sizes, slots with slot grooves in the desired precision and positioning. The very latest CAD-CAM technology with the desired vertical integration.
